Department Overview

The Department of Tamil at Sri Saradha College for Women is committed to preserving and promoting Tamil language, literature, and culture. About the Course – M.A. Tamil

The M.A. Tamil programme is designed to provide an in-depth understanding of classical and modern Tamil literature. The course explores Sangam literature, devotional literature, grammar and linguistics, modern poetry, drama, fiction, and comparative literature.

Students gain advanced knowledge in literary criticism, grammar, philology, epigraphy, folklore, and the evolution of Tamil literary traditions. This programme prepares students for careers in teaching, research, media, government service, publishing, and Tamil development sectors.
