Overview
Two semesters make up an academic year: the first one runs from June/July to November/December, and the second one runs from November/December to April/May. There will be a minimum of 90 working days in each semester. Every year, examinations for all UG and PG courses will be held in papers related to the odd and even semesters in November/December and April/May, respectively.

Regulations
The evaluation of a students in a particular course is based on her performance both in the
- Continuous Internal Assessment (CIA)
- The Semester Examinations conducted by the Bharathidasan University
A student has to pass the CIA and semester examination separately to complete a course work.
- Continuous Internal Assessment (CIA): There will be two centralized Internal Tests, and Model examination for each course in a semester.
- Rules and Regulations are followed as per Bharathidasan university guidelines.
Disciplinary Action For Malpractice
Malpractice by students during the Internal Tests and Semester Examinations will be viewed seriously. All reported cases of malpractice during Internal Tests, Semester Examinations will be referred by the exam cell to the chief superintendent enquire and action will be taken according to the Bharathidasan university rules and regulations.
