Overview
Sri Saradha College for Women is dedicated to providing its pupils with a supportive and peaceful learning environment. The college has set up an Anti-Ragging Cell to protect the welfare of incoming students and address the problem of ragging. Under the direction of the institution’s head, this unit is made up of senior instructors, members of the Anti-Ragging Squad, and Anti-Ragging Bus In charge from different departments. They are in charge of keeping an eye on and guaranteeing students’ behavior both on campus and when they are traveling.
Objective
- To bring out an awareness among the Students about the consequences of Ragging.
- To keep a constant eye and vigilance over Ragging so as to prevent its occurrence.
- To address any Ragging issues immediately and take action as advised by the Committee.
Anti-Ragging Committee Role & Responsibilities
- To guarantee the security of almost every area on college property, such as the canteen, parking lots, different buildings, and playgrounds, by assigning a faculty member to each spot during designated hours in order to stop ragging events.
- To put preventive measures in place to stop ragging at other places, such bus stops, such as assigning student volunteers and confidential informants to different boarding points and giving them explicit instructions.
- To give directions for the appointment of student volunteers and confidential informants at various boarding points, and to proactively prevent ragging situations at other sites such as bus stops.
- To plan anti-ragging awareness programs using banners, posters, and boards that are hung around potential ragging hotspots and on college property.
- To become a member of the Grievances & Redressal Committee and support anti-ragging campaigns.
- To plan anti-racism awareness campaigns, including seminars and lectures, with the goal of enlightening senior students, staff, and others from the campus community.
- To consult with the Director to obtain consent before holding meetings as needed and addressing relevant concerns.

Procedure for lodging complaint
- Students are urged to immediately submit their complaints to the appropriate committee coordinator by email or letter.
- Cases that are presented with the necessary paperwork will be handled by the Grievance Cell.
- Within the time range that the grievance cell has set, it will make sure that the grievance is appropriately resolved.
Instructions to Students
- It is hereby recommended that all first semester students adhere to the guidelines provided below.
- Any incident that falls under the purview of ragging should be reported right away to the helpline numbers or to any member of the committee.
- Any student is not required to follow senior students' unreasonable directions. For whatever reason, a senior student's advise or instruction to visit their place is not required of any other student.
