Overview
In 2004, the Department of Physics launched a three-year B.Sc. (Physics) program. In 2015, the M.Sc. program in Physics was launched. M.Phil. Physics was introduced later in 2017. The Department is being powered by well talented and dedicated faculty members.
The Physics laboratory is equipped with essential advanced instruments. The department actively involves in encouraging students to demonstrate various scientific models, arranging trips to industries and research institution and exploring them in recent development in the field of physics by conducting seminars and guest lecturers apart from the academics. Moreover, the students are being enlightened in the field of co-curricular, extracurricular and competitive examinations.
By kindling and fostering impetuosity and interest in the study of Physics, we hope to establish a foundation for pre-eminence and strengthen our position as a premier school.

Programme Outcomes
- A foundational understanding for physics is required of students, including the main ideas of electromagnetic theory, quantum mechanics, classical mechanics, electronics, optics, special theory of relativity, and current physics.
- It is also required for students to acquire oral and written communication skills in the context of physics-related subjects. Recognize the limitations of the equipment and learn to reduce contributory variables. Understanding of physics ideas in other fields, including chemistry, computer science, engineering, and mathematics.
- Create the ensuing test instruments: Utilizing curve fitting, error analysis, and Euler's method, numerically model elementary physical systems. Examine physical issues and use natural rules to build appropriate answers.
Course Outcomes
- In order to show that they grasp the scientific method and its procedures, students should be taught how to plan, organize, and carry out an experiment (or set of experiments). In addition, they must comprehend the analytical techniques needed to interpret, evaluate, and draw inferences from their data-supported findings.
